Aches, pains, headaches, fatigue, stiffness, thirst . . . I could go on, but I think you get the picture - messages that the body sends, but do we always listen? One of my primary 'Daily Resolves' is to be more mindful, to live and act more consciously, and that includes listening to my body when it is telling me to slow down and take better care of myself. In the past, I have often been guilty of over-work, pushing past my limits, and not spending enough time on self-care, and having a bit of fun (including regular relaxation). In recent years, I have begun a major effort to reform these tendencies. I am working less and playing more, curbing stress, and generally adding more joy to my life. That strategy, coupled with improved nutrition, regular exercise, daily stretching and vitamins, careful attention to sleep, and quality time spend on my dreams - is contributing to a happier, healthier 'me'.
With that in mind, I intend to continue 'Listen To My Body', and take heed to what it is telling me, as part of my Second Annual I Resolve To . . . Challenge: 365 Resolutions For Health & Happiness. Why not join me? The objective is very simple: Do at least one thing each and every day to promote health and happiness for 'YOU'. Banish the 'Someday, Someday, Someday Syndrome'. Instead, make every day New Year's Day. Make every day count with 'daily resolves'. The list of possibilities is infinite and can be tailored to your own dreams, resolutions and daily goals.
